Can I watch YouTube TV while traveling?
YouTube TV works in the US, with live TV available in areas where we're launching. Your access to local networks depends on the zip code in which you are located. Please log in at home at least once every 3 months to keep your account active. (Note that you need to subscribe monthly at home to stream MLB content.) You can't access live or recorded programming on YouTube TV while traveling abroad.
If you want to watch YouTube TV on the go without internet access, our 4K Plus plugin lets you save recordings from your library to your phone or tablet so you can watch them offline.

Many networks offer current episodes of shows, movies, and more on demand.

Does YouTube TV have ads?
Yes, because our live TV programming comes from network-related content creators, many of the TV networks we offer are ad-supported.
When YouTube videos are shown on YouTube TV, most of the ad revenue goes to the creators of those videos.

Can I fast forward through the ads?
Live TV: As with traditional TV, you cannot fast-forward through commercials when watching Live TV. However, if you are pausing a show, you can skip ahead to the live version of the show.
DVR: You can record a show by adding it to your library. This means that all broadcasts, including upcoming broadcasts and reruns, are automatically recorded. You can usually fast-forward commercials on recorded shows after they air live on TV.
Video on Demand: Many networks offer current episodes of shows, movies, and more on demand. If you have recorded a show that is available on demand at the time you watch it, in some cases the on demand version will play instead of your recording. You usually can't fast-forward through ads while watching Video On Demand.
YouTube videos: If you're a YouTube Premium subscriber, you won't see ads in YouTube videos on YouTube TV. If you're not a YouTube Premium subscriber, you'll see ads on YouTube videos, which helps us support the creators of those videos.

4K playback is only available oncompatible devices. 4K Ultra High Definition playback is available with our 4K Plus plug-in for select live and on-demand content on YouTube TV.
